DHAKA, Dec 4, 2024 (BSS) - The government today approved a proposal in principle for procuring EPI vaccines directly through UNICEF for supplying all routine EPI vaccines uninterruptedly at field-level till June, 2025 under the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI).

The approval came from the 10th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs held at the Cabinet Division Conference Room at Bangladesh Secretariat today with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair.

The meeting also approved a proposal in principle of the Ministry of Food for reducing the timeframe for procurement process through international Open Tender Method (OTM) applying Section 83 (1) (Ka) of the Public Procurement Rules 2008.
