DHAKA, Dec 18, 2024 (BSS) - A seminar on ‘Institutional Sustainability of Fourth-Generation Banks’ was held today at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) auditorium in the city.
Nurun Nahar, Chairman of BIBM Executive Committee and Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank was present in the program as the chief guest, said a press release here.
Md Shihab Uddin Khan, Associate Professor & Director (Research, Development & Consultancy) of BIBM delivered address of welcome in the function with Dr. Md.
Akhtaruzzaman, Director General of BIBM in the chair.
Dr. Mohammad Tazul Islam, Associate Professor of BIBM, presented a paper on “Institutional Sustainability of the Fourth-Generation Banks in Bangladesh: An Analysis from the Socio-Psychological Perspective” at the seminar.
Other members of the research team, who were present at the seminar are- Dr. Md. Shahid Ullah, Associate Professor of BIBM, Dr. Mohammad Monirul Islam Sarker, Faculty Member (on Deputation), BIBM and Director of Bangladesh Bank, Mahmud Salahuddin Naser, Director (Monetary Policy Department) of Bangladesh Bank.
Md Ali Hossain Prodhania, Supernumerary Professor of BIBM, M Shamsul Arefin, Managing Director of National Credit and Commerce Bank PLC and Md. Shafiul Azam, Managing Director & CEO of Modhumoti Bank PLC made comments as designated discussants.
A good number of participants including senior bank executives, academicians, media representatives, faculty members of BIBM took part in the seminar.
