DHAKA, Nov 22, 2021 (BSS) - Stocks today extended the losing streak for
the second straight session as risk-averse investors opted for a quick profit
on major sector issues.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), closed at
7,022.29 points with a loss of 63.38 points or 0.89 percent. Besides, two
selective indices, Blue Chip index, DSE30 and Shariah index, DSES also went
down by 16.85 points and 4.30 points to settle at 2,666.99 points and
1,470.97 points respectively.
Losers took a strong lead over gainers as out of 359 issues traded, 106
securities gained price while 214 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
The top 10 gainers were SKICL, ACMEPL, KTL, AMANFEED, One Bank Limited,
PTL, SIBL, Fuwang Food, ALIF and Rahim Text.
One Bank Limited topped the turnover chart followed by IFIC, NRBC Bank,
FIRSTSBANK and Fortune. The top 10 losers were Kohinoor, REGENTTEX,
ARAMITCEM, Style Craft, NRBC Bank, MITHUNKNIT, YPL, IBP and BIFC.
On the other hand, the port city bourse, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)
also closed at red extending the losing trend of previous day.
CSCX and CASPI declined by 95.19 points and 160.29 points to stand at
12,366.11 points and 20,559 points respectively.
At CSE, a total of 20,517,804 shares and mutual funds of 287 companies
were traded, of which 99 issues advanced while 161 declined and 27 issues
remained unchanged.
