DHAKA, Dec 28, 2021 (BSS) - The officials and employees of Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) today demanded payment of their post-retirement benefits immediately.

“Around 2,100 officials and employees of various jute mills under BJMC went on retirement from 2013 to 2021 but their arrears, including gratuities, were not paid," said convener of Jute Mill Abashar Prapto Karmakarta-Karmochari Parishad Md Israfil Khan at a press conference.

He also demanded settlement of all pending cases relating to the payment of arrears of the officials and employees.

Parishad member-secretary Jahangir Hossain was also present at the press conference held at the national press conference.
