DHAKA, Aug 23, 2022 (BSS) - Bangladesh Security Exchange Commission (BSEC) has set new trading time for the stock exchanges to save electricity. 

The new timing for all the stock exchanges in the country will be from 9:30am to 1:50pm starting from tomorrow, said a BSEC press release issued today. 

A 10-minute post-closing session will continue after the transactions. In that case, the post-closing session will be from 1:50pm to 2:00 pm.

BSEC also encouraged operating trading activities using digital platforms.

Earlier on Monday, the government fixed new office hours for all government and autonomous institutions from 8:00am to 3:00pm to tackle the ongoing energy crisis.

The decision will come into effect from Wednesday.
