DHAKA, July 29, 2021 (BSS) - Business leaders and industrialists
have requested the government to reopen garment factories and other
industries amid the countrywide strict restrictions.

  Besides, they called for bringing all the workers and employees
engaged in export activities under vaccination.

   A delegation of businessmen led by Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce
and Industry Federation (FBCCI) president Jasim Uddin made the demands
during a meeting with Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam on
Thursday.

   Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA)
president Faruk Hasan, Bangladesh Exporters Association president
Abdus Salam Murshedy, Knit Garment Owners Association (BKMEA)
president AKM Selim Osman, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry
president Rizwan Rahman, among others, were present in the meeting.
