KUSHTIA, Aug 7, 2021(BSS) - A total of 62,400 people were inoculated with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in the district on the first day of mass vaccination campaign.

   The mass vaccination against Covid-19 began today in 97 centers across the district amid enthusiasm through maintaining all health directives, set by the government.

   District Civil Surgeon Dr. HM Anwarul Islam said the process of the vaccination started from 9 am at 97 centers in 64 unions and five municipalities of the district today.

  Besides, leaders and workers of the Awami League and members of the front organizations, leaders and workers of BCL are seen to help mass people for receiving the Covid-19 vaccine in all centers.

  Women and men have been seen standing in long lines to receive the vaccine at the centers since morning.
