KHULNA, Dec 25, 2022 (BSS) - A special team of RAB-6 in a drive last night arrested seven members of a cheater syndicate from the city’s Hafiznagar area under Sonadanga Police Station.
 
The arrested persons are Sayed Tanveer Ahmed, 31, Md Sahabuddin, 40, Md Sohel, 28, Md Rezaul Karim, 30, Md Zahenur Islam, 20, Naheed Jahan Jui, 28, and Md Zaheerul Islam, 20.
 
On a tip-off, the special RAB team conducted the drive at the office of Agni Company Ltd. of a six storied building NH Tower at Hafiznagar area under Sonadanga Police Station around 8pm last night and arrested them, said a RAB press release.
 
The team also seized 10 mobile phone sets, four laptops, 40 admission forms, 45 commitments with signatures, one device of CC camera, four registers and cash Taka 54,210 from their possession.
 
Receiving a complaint that so called Agni Company Ltd confined some youth who have given money to the cheating syndicate in hopes of getting jobs, the RAB team arrested them, the release said.
