JAMALPUR, Dec 29, 2022 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 1,200 yaba tablets in Sadar upazila here early hours today.

The arrested man was identified as M Manik, 40, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Baro Haldiya village under Matlob upazila in Chandpur district.

On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Nandina Railway gate area of the upazila at 5:30 am and arrested Manik with the yaba tablets, RAB-14 sources said.

A case was registered with Jamalpur Sadar police station in this regard.
