RAJSHAHI, Jan 11, 2023 (BSS) - A week- long 'Rajshahi Divisional SME Products Fair 2023' is going to start here from tomorrow (Thursday) aimed at promoting local SME sector, enhance production of quality SME products, exhibition and introduction of SME goods for expanding business, trade and commerce.

 
In the fair, a spectrum of locally produced SME goods including leather products, jute-made products, handicrafts, processed agricultural products, electrical and electronic goods, clothes, design and fashion wares and other products are scheduled to be exhibited in around 60 stalls.
 
SME Foundation under the Ministry of Industries will organise the fair at Green Plaza of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) in association with Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner's Office.
The organisers revealed this at a press conference held at the conference hall of Divisional Commissioner in Rajshahi this afternoon.
 
Director of Local Government Division Enamul Haque addressed the press conference as a focal person illustrating salient features of the fair. SME Foundation Deputy General Manager Raquib Uddin Khan and local unit president of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries Prof Rozety Naznin were present on the occasion.
 
Enamul Haque said the country has already achieved uplift in every sector with the participation of both men and women on its way to become a middle income nation soon and SME is the key driver of the economy.

Around 60 entrepreneurs, most of them local, will showcase their products in their respective stalls.
Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton is expected to attend the opening ceremony as chief guest.
 
The fair will remain open for the visitors from 10 am to 9 pm until Wednesday next.
