TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, Jan 17, 2023 (BSS) - Newly elected executive committee of Faridpur District unit Awami League (AL) today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

 
Leaders of Faridpur District Awami League Committee led by its President Shamim Haque and General Secretary Shah Md Ishtiak Arif placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara this afternoon.

After laying the wreath, the leaders of Faridpur District Awami League Committee stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation.

A special Doa, seeking eternal peace of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage as well as martyrs of the War of Liberation, was also offered.

The president and general secretary also signed the visitors' book at the Tungipara Mausoleum Complex.

Treasurer of Faridpur AL Committee and Director of FBCCI Joshoda Jibon Debnath and leaders of the newly elected committee, among others, were present.
