RAJSHAHI, Jan 19, 2023 (BSS)- Rajshahi district has clinched the top position as it has attained hundred percent registration of scout membership and unit registration online.

National Commissioner of Bangladesh Online Scout Membership Registration Division Syed Rafique Ahmed announced the success news.

This was revealed in the executive committee meeting of the district of Bangladesh Scout held at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) here on Wednesday.

DC Abdul Jalil, Additional DCs Shariful Haque and Joya Maria Perera and others concerned attended and addressed the meeting.

In his remarks, DC Abdul Jalil said there is no alternative to scout to make the future generation competent and beautiful.

He said their district clinched the top position in the country as they have cub, scout and rover scout in all educational institutions and completed hundred percent online scout and unit registration as per the existing rules and regulations in this regard.

Rover scouting has been playing vital roles towards generating skilled human resources side by side with teaching the students about leading their life in a disciplined manner.

The present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has adopted various time-fitting steps for infusing dynamism into the activities of Bangladesh Scout.

DC Jalil said the government has taken the decision of scouting for inclusion in all educational institutions apart from launching two cub scouts, scout and rover scout teams in each of the institutions.

He said scouting could make a positive contribution to keeping children and adolescents and youth safe and away from the poison of drugs and terrorism.
