NILPHAMARI, Feb 11, 2023 (BSS) - Department of Narcotics Control in a drive arrested two people with 20 gold bars from Saidpur upazila in the district today.

The detained were identified as Abdur Rahim, 25, and Mohammad Ullah, 26. They were the residents in Manikganj district. 

Assistant Director of district Department of Narcotics Control Sharif Uddin said the drive was conducted at Kamarpukur Mor on Rangpur-Dinajpur Highway this noon. He said they stopped a bus of Nabil Paribahan there and held them with the gold bars. 

In another drive in the area, they held two women namely Sumi Begum, 32, and Habiba Begum, 32, with five kgs of ganja. 

The detained were handed over to Saidpur Thana police later.
