MYMENSINGH, March 15, 2023 (BSS) - A view exchange meeting on “Our Role to Build Smart Bangladesh” was held at the ICT Lab at the office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) here today.

The programe was organized by the District Information Office in cooperation with the Human resource section of the DC Office where Deputy Director of the Local Government Division Md Shafiqul Islam was present as chief guest.

Senior District Information Officer Sheikh Md. Shahidul Islam told BSS that the objectives of the Smart Bangladesh is to optimize the use of public resources and provide a high level of citizen service, mobility, economic growth, renewable energy to attract businesses, investors, citizens and visitors, sustainability to develop the district, to improve the public safety and security and constant improvement of the district.

Besides, the participants discussed about the pillars of Smart Bangladesh such as physical, social, institutional and economic pillars including the ways, policies and action plans.

District Information Officer gave the welcome speech narrating the objectives of the view exchange meeting. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Dev & H R) Md. Mahfuzul Alom Masum moderated the meeting.
In the working session, a group discussion was held and made recommendations to build a developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh as well as smart Mymensingh by 2041as desired By Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by 2041.

Heads of different government offices, local city corporation, police, ICT representatives and entrepreneurs of Mass Communication and Journalists joined the meeting.
