RANGPUR, April 5, 2023 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in a
raid, arrested a man with 200 bottles of phensedyl and seized a truck from
Niyamat Kadamtala area under Porshuram Police Station in the city today.
 
The arrested was identified as Md. Faruk Hossain, 32, son of late Aminur
Rahman of Dakshin Gonesham village under Kaliganj upazila of nearby
Lalmonirhat district.

"On a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-13 challenged a stone-laden truck
on the Gangachara-Rangpur road in the area and arrested the man with the
phensedyl and seized the vehicle from the spot," a press release said.
 
During preliminary interrogation, the detainee admitted that he had been
involved in drug trading in connivance with his other cohorts for a long
time.
 
"After filing a case against the arrested person in this connection, the
elite force handed him over along with the seized goods to Porshuram Police
Station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police today," the release added
