BRAHMANBARIA, April 8, 2023 (BSS) - Two people were killed in a collision between a battery-run auto-rickshaw and a tractor on Shahbajpur-Shahjadapur regional highway in Jadavpur area under Sarail upazila of the district today.
 
The deceased were identified as battery-run auto-rickshaw driver Al Amin, 14, son of Alamgir Miah, resident of Shahbajpur village in the upazila and passenger Apon Chandra Das, 14, son of Amolesh Chandra Das, resident of Dhitpur village of the same upazila.

The accident occurred in the area when a brick-laden tractor collided head-on with a battery-run auto rickshaw around 4pm, leaving Al Amin died on the spot and passenger injured, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sarail Police Station Aslam Hossain said.

Later, he was taken to Sarail Upazila Health Complex, where on-duty doctor declared him dead.

The bodies were sent to Brahmanbaria General Hospital morgue for postmortem, the OC added.
