RANGPUR, April 19, 2023 (BSS) - The holy night of Shab-e-Qadr was observed with due religious rituals, gaiety and solemnity amid tight security measures in the city and across the district last night.
The Muslim Ummah believes that the most important night of Shab-e-Qadr bears huge importance when Almighty Allah sent the Holy Qur'an, a full code of conduct for humankind, on earth on this night.
Hundreds of Muslims attended discussions on the most meaningful night of forgiveness, fortune, hope and aspiration in the mosques and offered `nafl' prayers till Fazr prayers and recited from the holy Qur'an.
Special milad mehfils, `zikrs' were organised and `tobaraks' distributed among Musollis at the mosques both in the city, urban and rural areas.
Khatibs, Imams, Islami Thinkers, Olamaye-Kerams and Mashayekhs delivered lectures in special discussions arranged at the mosques after the Esha and Tarabih prayers narrating spiritual significance of the most blessed night.
A large number of Musollis stayed for the whole night at the mosques and many others offered special prayers and `ziarats' at the graveyards of their forefathers and departed relatives, friends and nearer and sought forgiveness and eternal peace for all.
Hundreds of Musollis offered 'nafl' prayers at the District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center, Nasirabad Ekramia Jam-e-Mosque, Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque, Jamtola Jam- e- Mosque, Dhap Jam-e-Mosque, Alamnagar Waqf Mosque, Central Bus Terminal Jam-e-Mosque, Kachari Bazar Jam-e-Mosque and other mosques in Rangpur city.
They offered special munajats seeking divine blessings for pardon of their sins, eternal peace of departed souls of their near and dear ones, peace and prosperity of the country, its people, Muslim Ummah and humanity as a whole.
