MANIKGANJ, May, 22, 2023 (BSS)-A large protest rally was brought under the leadership of Manikganj District Awami League today in the town protesting a threat to kill Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by a BNP leader in Rajshahi.

 
A meeting was held after the rally in town where District AL President also the Chairman of Manikganj Zilla Parishad freedom fighter Advocate Golam Mohiuddin presided over. District AL General Secretary also the Public Prosecutor (PP) of Manikganj Advocate Abdus Salam, former joint secretary of district AL AFM Sultanul Azam Khan Apel and local leader Advocate Badrul Islam Khan Babul among others spoke on the occasion.
 
The speakers of the rally demanded immediate arrest of the culprits who issued the threat to kill AL chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. They also urged to ensure exemplary punishment to the offender.

The speakers also urged the AL leaders and activists to be alert against any conspiracy against the country.
 
The protest rallies were also brought out at Upazila levels in the district.
