CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 24, 2021 (BSS) - Five more persons tested positive for

Covid-19 during the last 24 hours till this morning, raising the total
caseload to 5,684 in the district.

  During the time, 34 samples were tested in RT-PCR lab as five persons were
detected positive for COVID-19 with the infection rate of 14.70 percent,
civil surgeon office sources confirmed.

  All the newly infected patients are from Sadar upazila.

  A total of 328 Covid patients are undergoing treatment in the district. Of
them, 51 are in dedicated Covid hospital and others at home.

  Meanwhile, 146 patients have died of COVID-19 and 5,210 have recovered from
the disease so far here, the sources added.
