NETRAKONA June 13, 2023 (BSS)-A day long workshop on ‘The role of Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) to build a Smart Bangladesh’ was held here today.

Netrakona district administration and BFSA jointly organized the workshop at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office to highlight different time-befitting programs and action plans of the authority to ensure safe food for all. DC Netrakona Anjana Khan Mojlish formally inaugurated the workshop as chief guest.

 It was addressed, among others, by Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Mohammad Mamun Khandakar, Additional Police Super Mohammad Saheb Ali Pathan, Deputy Director of the District Social Service Department Mohammad Alal Uddin, former commander of district Muktizoddha Sangsad Nurul Amin and valiant freedom fighter and member secretary of Netrakona district press club Advocate Habibur Rahman.

The District Food Safety Officer of Netrakona Habibur Rahman conducted the workshop.
 
Inaugurating the workshop, DC Anjana Khan Mojlish underlined the need for concerted efforts of all including the officers, law-enforcers, journalists and civil society members to ensure safe food for all side by side of avoiding food adulteration or food hazards.

A total of 30 persons including officers, journalists, NGO workers and civil society members participated in the workshop.
