Rangpur BCL hosts blood donation camp on Bangabandhu's death anniversary

  RANGPUR, Aug 24, 2021 (BSS) - Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) district unit

arranged a free blood donation camp on the National Mourning Day and 46th
martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman and the August 21 grenade attack.

  At the function, BCL leaders have called upon students and young
generations to donate blood to serve the suffering humanity and save human
lives.

   The blood donation camp was organised in association with Rangpur
Community Medical College and Hospital (RCMCH) at Bangabandhu Square in the
metropolis on Monday abiding by the health directives in the wake of Covid-19
pandemic.

   President of district Awami League Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the camp
as the chief guest.

   Additional Director of RCMCH Md Merajul Islam Muhsin and Additional
Director of Rangpur Community Diagnostic Centre Md Shahid Sarker attended the
function as special guests.

  President of Rangpur district BCL Mehedee Hasan Rony presided over the
inaugural function of the camp and first donated blood there.

   Later, other BCL leaders and activists donated blood in the day-long camp
for handing over the collected blood to different government hospitals to
stand beside the suffering humanity, including pregnant mothers and babies.

   Joint General Secretary of Rangpur district BCL Shere Jahan Shaon, its
Organising Secretaries Abu Hossain and Mohaiminul Rahman, Assistant Publicity
Secretary Saddam Hossain and other leaders were present.
