HABIGANJ, June 16, 2023 (BSS) - A man was killed in lightening strike in Bahubal upazila of the district today.

The deceased was identified as Selim Mia, 30, hailed from Baktarpur village in the Upazila. 

Quoting locals, Officer-in-Charge of Bahubal Thana Rakibul Islam said Selim was struck by a thunderbolt this afternoon when he was catching fish in a haor adjacent to his house. He died on the spot.
