RANGPUR, Aug 25, 2021 (BSS) - Mayor of Rangpur Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa
has directed all officials concerned for completing ongoing infrastructural
development works timely.

   He gave the directives at a meeting on progress assessment of development
works being implemented with the assistance of Japan International
Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Rangpur City Corporation (RpCC) area at the City
Bhaban conference room on Tuesday afternoon.

   Representatives of JICA, city councilors, officials of RpCC attended the
event, arranged abiding by the health directives in the wake of the Covid-19
pandemic.

   Chief Executive Officer of RpCC Ruhul Amin Miah, JICA Team Leader, its
Senior Infrastructure Manager and Senior Field Engineer, Superintending
Engineer of RpCC Amdad Hossain, its Executive Engineer Azam Ali and a number
of contractors attended the meeting.

   The meeting assessed the progress of the JICA-assisted infrastructural
development works and stressed on better coordination among all concerned for
timely implementation of all works in the city.

   Mayor Mostafa suggested all to properly implement the development works
aiming at building an eco-friendly, well planned, modern and beautiful
Rangpur city with eye-catching looks all-around having all civic facilities.

   He directed all concerned to complete the JICA-assisted infrastructural
development works by December this year maintaining the best quality of works
to turn Rangpur into one of the most beautiful cities in the country.
