GOPALGANJ, July 1, 2023 (BSS) - A reception was accorded to the brave freedom fighters and family members of martyred and deceased freedom fighters of Gohala union under Muksudpur upazila of the district today.
The reception was organized under the initiative of the socio-cultural initiative 'Alokit Gowhala and Samridho Muksudpur Kashiani'.
Ashraful Alam Poplu, a member of the management committee of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum, addressed the function as the chief guest held at the auditorium of the Freedom Fighter Martyrs Memorial Sangh in Gohala Bazar of Muksudpur Upazila of the district with Ali Hossain Miah, the former commander of the Gohala Union Muktijoddha Sangsad.
On the occasion, the brave freedom fighters and the family members of martyrs and late freedom fighters were presented with crests and flowers.
Former commander of Muksudpur Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad Firoz Khan, Bangladesh Supreme Court lawyer Golam Mahmud, Noor Alam Siddiqui Miah Shamim, lecturer Md Salam Sheikh, Farooq Biswas, Tutul Biswas, freedom fighter Md Miah Sirajul Haque and freedom fighter Abdur Razzak Gazi, among others.
They called for greater unity and solidarity of the freedom fighters and all the pro-liberation forces to uphold the spirit of the Liberation War and continue the current development spree and strengthen the hands of Premier Sheikh Hasina who has been steering the nation towards progress and prosperity.
This campaign is an initiative of 'Alokita Gowhala and Samridho Muksudpur Kashiani' to create awareness about social harmony, peace and prosperity and highlight the achievements and success of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the government in the country and around the world.
The aim of this movement is to build a peaceful society through social harmony irrespective of different classes, professions, religion and caste.
