BOGURA, July 7, 2023 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed and another rider injured in a road accident at Matidali Bazar on the Bogura-Rangpur highway under Sadar upazila of the district last night (Thursday).

The deceased was identified as Al Imran, 35, son of Yasin Ali, resident of Baria village in Jianagar Union in Dupchanchia upazila of the district.

The accident occurred when he was returning home riding his motorcycle from Bogura. He lost control and fell on the road in the area and at the same time a truck hit him coming from the opposite direction around 9 pm, leaving him died on the spot and another rider injured, Bogura Phulbari Outpost Police inspector Jalal Uddin Janan said.

The injured was taken to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital, he said.

Police seized the truck, but its driver and helper escaped from the spot, he added.
