FARIDPUR , June 25, 2021 (BSS)- The infection rate reaches 51.57 percent causing two more person death of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours that raises the total number of deaths to 209 in the district.

   The Civil Surgeon Office here confirmed that the number of Covid-19 cases climbed to 12,125 as 131 more people were detected positive in the Rapid Antigen test of 388 samples in the district.

   The infection rate is 51.57 percent in last 24 hours, source reported.

   The average death rate is 1.72 percent while the infection rate is 21.70 percent.

  A total of 1,025 persons were in home isolation and 120 patients are undergoing treatment at hospitals including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical College and Hospital in the town while 10,747 patients have, so far, been recovered from the deadly virus, the source added.

   Earlier, a week-long strict virus restrictions was proclaimed by Faridpur District Administration from June 21.

   The district police, law enforcers and mobile courts are being posted in different roads and crossings

  points to perform strict restrictions in the localities including municipalities of Faridpur, Bhanga and Boalmari.
