BHOLA, Aug 28, 2021 (BSS)–Thirty-two more persons were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 139 samples at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital COVID-19 laboratory.

Among the new positive cases, 16 are in Sadar upazila, one in Borhanuddin upazila and 15 in Charfashion upazila of the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman said.

Meanwhile, one person has died with coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours in the district, he said.  

The total number of infected people in the district stood at 6,368 while the number of recovery cases at 5,479, the civil surgeon said.

Meanwhile, a total of 53 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district.

A total of 84 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, he added.

Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman   said infected 44 persons are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
