HABIGANJ, Aug 12, 2023 (BSS) - A battery-run easy bike driver was electrocuted at Katiyadi Bazar under Sadar upazila of the district last night.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Hamid, 30, son of Abdur Rezzak, resident of Hamidpur village under Sadar upazila of the district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Golam Mortuza said Abdul Hamid went to charge easy bike (Tom Tom) at the garage of Shamshul Islam around 8 pm last night. At that time, he came in contact with with a live electric wire in the garage and was seriously injured.

Locals rescued him and took him to Habiganj 250-Bed Modern District Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
