RAJSHAHI, Aug 30, 2021 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an anti-crime drive, arrested an alleged drug peddler with 27,000 pieces of yaba tablets here last night.

According to the RAB sources, the arrested person was identified as Enayet Hossain, 27, son of Shahjahan Ali of Chalk Chapal village under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district.

A team of the elite force, being informed, conducted a raid at Baneshwar Bazar area under Puthiya upazila and arrested him with the huge yaba tablets around 7.30 pm red-handed.

The arrested person was bringing the contraband item to Rajshahi on boarding a passenger bus, RAB sources said today.

The arrested person along with the seized goods was handed over to police after recording a case with Puthiya Police Station in this connection this morning.
