MANIKGANJ, September, 12, 2023 (BSS)-The Department of Narcotic Control (DNC) today arrested three drug peddlers and recovered heroin and ganja from different areas of Singair upazila of the district.

The arrested persons were identified as Md. Kohinur Islam, 34, son of Md. Adam Ali of Madhabpur village under Chandahar union of Singair Upazila of the district, Md. Sharif Bepari, 48, son of late Jeher Ali of the same village of the same union and Kawsar, 38, son of late Abdur Rahman of village Dhalla under Dhalla union of Singair Upazila of the district.

Deputy Director of Narcotic Control Md. Hamimur Rashid said Kohinur was arrested from his house with 200 pieces of Yaba, Md. Shariful was arrested with 500 grams of ganja from his house and Kawsar was arrested from his house with 700 pieces of Yaba tablets.  

Three cases were filed with Singair Police Station under the Narcotic Control Act, DD Hamimur Rashid said.
