NARAIL, Oct 15, 2023 (BSS) - World White Cane Safety Day-2023 was observed in the town today.

To mark the day, a discussion was organized by district administration and district Social Services Office on Deputy Commissioner's office premises this morning.

Deputy Director of district Social Services Office Raton Kumar Halder in the chair Deputy Director of Local Govt Division Julia Sukaina took part the discussion as chief guest.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Shashti Shil, Deputy Collector Md Asif Uddin, Deputy Director at district Women Affairs Department Mousumi Majumder and district Disability Affairs Officer Md Obaidullah were present, among others.

At the function, tricycle, three smart white cane and five wheel chairs were distributed among the people with disabilities.
