NARAYANGANJ, Oct 17, Oct 17, 2023 (BSS) - Two children drowned in the River Meghna in Araihazar upazila of the district this afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Md Adnan, 4, and Md Abdullah, 4. They were the residents in Bishnandi Purbo Para area in the upazila.

Local people said they drowned in the river at around 12:30pm while taking bath with their uncle Abdul Aziz.

They were taken to Araihazar Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor declared them dead, said Officer-in-Charge of Araihazar Thana Ahosan Ullah.
