NARAIL, Nov 4, 2023 (BSS) - The 52nd National Cooperative Day-2023 was observed in the district as elsewhere in the country today.

Marking the day, district administration and the Department of Co-Operative department chalked out elaborate programmes in the district.

With the aim of building 'Sonar Bangla' as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and keeping in mind the efficiency, creativity, self-confidence and enthusiasm of the Cooperative men, this year's theme of the day is "Samobaya Gorchi Desh, Smart Habe Bangladesh".

On the occasion, a rally brought out from deputy commissioner's office premises which paraded in the main road of the town and ended in the same place.After rally a discussion was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner office at 12:30 pm. District Co-Operative officer Md. Aslam Ali Bhuyan presided over the discussion. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Ashfaqul Haque Chowdhury was present as chief guest.

Police Super Sadira Khatun, District Awami League president and District council Chairman Advocate Subash Chandra Bose, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Swashati Sheel, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sharmin Akter, Narail Municipality Mayor Anjuman Ara, Sadar upazila vice-chairman Esmot Ara, Press Club president Advocate Alomgir Siddique ,among others, spoke on the occasion.
