HABIGANJ, Nov 4, 2023 (BSS) - The 52nd National Cooperatives Day was observed today in the district across the country with the theme 'Somobaye Gorchi Desh, Smart Hobey Bangladesh'.
 
Marking the day, district administration and the Department of Co-Operative department chalked out elaborate programmes in the district.

On the occasion, a rally brought out from deputy commissioner's office premises which paraded in the main road of the town and ended at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium this morning.

After the rally a discussion was held at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium this morning while the Member of Parliament of Habiganj-3 constituency Advocate Md Abu Zahir addressed the function as the chief guest with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Devi Chand in the chair.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abul Mansoor, District Cooperative Officer Abdur Rauf, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ayesha Akhtar, Habiganj Sadar Upazila Vice- Chairman Ferdousi Akhtar, Cooperative Officer Mamtazur Rahman, among others, spoke on the function.
