PABNA, Nov 6, 2023 (BSS) - A school student was killed and two others were injured in a collision between an engine-run three wheeler (Nosiman) and a motorcycle on the Ishwardi-Pabna highway in Baharpur mor area under Ishwardi upazila of the district today.

The deceased was identified as Mitul Hossain, 15, son of Ismail Hossain, a resident of Athail Shimul village of the upazila. He was a 10th class student of Ishwardi Government Vocational Textile Institute.

The accident took place in the area around 9.30 am when a bike collided head-on with a three wheeler, leaving three seriously injured, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwardi Police Station Arvind Kumar Sarker.

They were going to Ishwardi Government Vocational Textile Institute on a motorcycle.

The injured were taken to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declared Mitul Hossain dead.

Later, the injured were sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in critical condition for better treatment, the OC added.
