CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Nov 11, 2023 (BSS) - Speakers at a daylong farmers training today stressed on applying fertilisers by testing soil to get more crops.

Chapainawabganj regional office of Soil Resource Development Institute arranged the training programme at Bholahat upazila parishad auditorium in association with Bholahat upazila office of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE). 

It was held with the chief scientific officer of the Chapainawabganj regional office of the Soil Resource Development Institute Dr. Md. Nurul Islam in the chair while director of the field service wing of the Institute Dr. Begum Samia Sultana attended it as the chief guest.

A total of 50 farmers were imparted training on collection method of sample of soil, proper use of fertilizer, conservation of soil health and identification of adulterated fertilizer.
