RAJSHAHI, Nov 13, 2023 (BSS)- District administration has launched mobile
courts against price hike of potato along with its unethical hoarding and
other manipulations here today.

A mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Tania Akter Lubna conducted raids
at different cold storages in Paba Upazila reviewing stock position and
market situation.

The mobile court has been conducted in Milon Cold Storage, Uttara Cold
Storage, Aman Cold Storage, Bengal Cold Storage, Sarker Cold Cold Storage,
Asma Cold Storage and Rahman Cold Storage to control the price hike and
artificial crisis.

Magistrate Lubna Akter said there are provisions of penalties in the
agricultural marketing law if there were deviations in price chart fixed by
the government and stock.

She said the drive will continue against any sort of artificial crises and
price hike of the vegetable tuber crop in both markets and cold storage.
