CHATTOGRAM, Nov 19, 2023 (BSS)-Two people were killed in a collision between a motorcycle and fish laden pickup van at Kenochia village on Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway under Satkania sadar upazila this morning.

The deceased were identified as Arif Hossain, 23, and Manmoth Bairagi, 25, police said.

Khan Mohammed Irfan, Officer-in-Charge of Dohazari Highway Police told the journalists that a Hectogram-bound fish laden pickup van rammed a motorcycle at Moterbari Dream House Community Center in Kenochia village near Keranihat around 11 am, leaving both the motorbike riders critically injured, police said.

Police with the help of locals rescued the injured people and took them to a local hospital where the attending doctors declared them dead, Irfan added.

Police seized the pickup van, but its driver managed to fled away from the scene, he said.
