BOGURA, Nov 20, 2023 (BSS)- A man was killed in a road accident after being hit by a truck in Nangra Bazar area under Sadar upazila of the district today.

The deceased was identified as Mujibur Rahman, 60, son of late Haider Ali, resident of Dasthika Sardarpara area of the district town.

The accident occurred in the area when he was going home on his bicycle, a truck hit him from behind at around 11am, leaving him dead on the spot, Bogura Sadar Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Noor Zahid said.

The body was sent to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.

Police seized the truck but its driver managed to escape the scene. 
A case was filed in this connection, the SI added.
