SIRAJGANJ, Nov 29, 2023 (BSS) - Miscreants set fire to a moving pickup van at Panchlia area of Bangabandhu Bridge West Highway under Kamarkhanda upazila of the district today.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Hatikumru Highway Police Station MA Wadud said that the vegetables-laden moving pickup was going to Dhaka from North Bengal.
 

When the pickup reached the Panchlia Aziz filling station area, the vehicle slowed down because of the potholes, some miscreants set fire to it around 3:15am and escaped the scene.

The driver and helper got down from the pickup. The front of the pickup was gutted in the fire.

Being informed, a fire fighting unit rushed to the spot and doused the blaze, OC said.
