NETRAKONA, Nov 30, 2023 (BSS) - On the last day for submission of nomination paper, state minister for social welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, MP, submitted his nomination paper to the returning officer and deputy commissioner of Netrakona Shahed Parvez here this noon.

Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, who is an Awami League nominated candidate and a valiant freedom fighter, submitted his nomination paper for contesting in the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad election from Netrakona-2 (Barhatta and Netrakona sader upazilas ) constituency.

Earlier, Khasru was elected twice as the member of parliament from this constituency.

Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali, MP, chairman of Netrakona zila parishad Asit Kumar Sarker Sazal, mayor of Netrakona municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, chairman of Netrakona sader upazila Ataur Rahman Manik and president of Netrakona district Awami league Advocate Amirul Islam, among others, were present at that time.

A total of nine candidates of different political parties and individuals submitted their nomination papers to contest in the national election from Netrakona-2 constituency, returning officer Shahed Parvez told BSS.
