CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 6, 2023 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged cocktail maker and recovered five cocktails and other local weapons from Shibganj in Chapainawabganj district last night.

The arrested person was identified as Md. Tariqul Islam, 28 of Rajnagar Hangami village under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district.

RAB said, acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid at Monakasha Bazar under Shibganj upazila of the district at around 9-30 pm and arrested Tariqul.
   
As per Tariqul information, RAB raided the house of Md. Saidul Islam alias Rana, 55 and seized five cocktails, 11 machetes, two steel pipes, five daggers and cocktail-making elements from there possession, the sources added.

The sources further added that the house of Saidul was used as a secret hideout for making cocktails.

Later the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj thana with a case and the drives for arresting Saidul were going on, the elite force said.
