RAJSHAHI, Dec 6, 2023 (BSS)-Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) AHM Khairuzzaman Liton today categorically said none can stop the forthcoming parliament election as the voters are eagerly waiting for the election.

"BNP leaders want to create panic among the public in general through arson attacks-terrorism in the name of movement," he said while addressing a peace and development meeting here as chief guest.

Mayor Liton, who is also presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League, said the BNP had resorted to arson attacks in 2014/2015 with an ulterior motive to foil the 10th parliament election but they failed totally.

Again, they are unleashing terrorism across the country to foil the forthcoming national election but their ill-motive will not be successful for the greater interests of peaceful and successful holding of the election.

Liton said BNP is now completely isolated from the people as they lost acceptance.
Rajshahi City unit of Awami League organized the meeting at Shaheed AHM Kamaruzzaman crossing in protest against the BNP's blockade.

After the street-corner meeting, leaders and workers of the party brought a huge rally that ended at Kumarpara crossing.
