SIRAJGANJ, Dec 7, 2023 (BSS) - Miscreants set fire to a baby chicken-carrying pickup van on the Pabna-Bogura highway in front of the Durgadah gas filling station in Tetiyarkanda area under Shahjadpur upazila of the district last night.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Shahjadpur Police Station Khairul Bashar said that the pickup carrying chickens of ACI Company was going from Mauna to Pabna.

When the pickup reached the area, miscreants set fire to it around 9:45 pm, leaving seven thousand baby chickens dead on the spot. The miscreants fled from the spot immediately, he said.

Being informed, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control, the OC added.

The OC also said that the driver of the pickup was injured as the miscreants hot him with sticks.
