SIRAJGANJ, Dec 12, 2023 (BSS) - Donation cheques worth about Taka 3.14 crore from PM Relief and Welfare Fund were distributed in the district today among 314 surrendered extremists as they returned to normal life after surrendering to the elite force RAB.

Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) M Khurshid Hossain distributed the cheques at a function held at the office of RAB-12 here this noon.

Higher officials of RAB, Deputy Commissioner, Police Super in Sirajganj, district unit president of Awami League and its general secretary were present, among others.

Each extremist got a cheque worth about Taka one lakh.
