LALMONIRHAT, Dec 16, 2023 (BSS) - The Victory Day-2023 was celebrated in the

district today with a renewed vow for building a happy, prosperous and non-
communal Bangladesh with the spirit of the War of Liberation.

District Administration, freedom fighters, political parties, educational
institutes and various social and cultural organisations chalked out
elaborate programmes to mark the day.

The day's programme began by placing wreaths at the Sadar Upazila Central
Shaheed Minar to pay respect to the martyrs.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Ullah paid rich tributes to the martyrs by
placing a wreath at the Central Shaheed Minar in the first hour of the great
Victory Day.

Later, upazila administration, upazila parishad, freedom fighter command
council, upazila Awami League, various political organizations, Lalmonirhat
municipality, various labor unions and educational institutions laid wreaths
at the Upazila Central Shaheed Minar to pay respect to the martyrs.

After laying the wreath, they stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark
of profound respect to the martyrs.

Marking the great Victory Day, various meetings, seminars and rallies were
held in the district.
