MANIKGANJ, Dec 17, 2023 (BSS)-A discussion in observance of Victory Day title ‘Importance and Significance of Victory’ was held under the auspices of the Islamic Foundation Manikganj district office today.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) General Sanwarul Haque spoke at the function as chief guest where Md. Hares Sinha presided over.

Former district education officer (DEO) Md. Abdul Monnaf Khan spoke at the function as special guest.

Islamic Foundation Field Officer Muhammad Habibur Rahman Master and Trainer Maulana Muhammad Ashraful Alam also spoke on the occasion.

Chief guest ADC Sanwarul Haque described the history of Liberation War in a nutshell and the glorious struggles of the Muslim leaders after defeat of Nawab Shiraj Ud-Doula in 1757.

The chief guest urged the Imams to work to make a drug and militancy free society.

On this occasion, cheques were distributed among the best Imams and their firm owners of the district.
