MANIKGANJ, Dec 19, 2023(BSS) - A discussion and view-exchange meeting was

held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner Manikganj today under the
joint auspices of Manikganj District administration and District Information
Office.
 
Deputy Commissioner Rahana Akther addressed the programme as the chief guest
while Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Sanwarul Haque was present as
special guest.
 
Director (Admin and Finance) of Mass Communication Directorate Eakub Ali
addressed it as the 'Guest of Honour'.
 
On the occasion, Deputy Director of District Statistics Office Md Minar Uddin
highlighted on "Addressing Citizen's problems with Smart Solutions" in a
power-point presentation.
 
"Once Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's concept of Digital Bangladesh was a
dream to the common people but now it's a proven reality under her excellent
leadership and sincere efforts," Rahana Akther said, adding that the premier
paved the way for the countrymen to get their necessary services digitally by
transforming Bangladesh into a digital country.

She further said Bangladesh might be a Smart Bangladesh by 2041 which will be
based on smart citizens, smart economy, smart government and smart society
according the vision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

With Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Shukla Sarkar in the
chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Additional Superintendent
of Police (SP) Quamrul Hasan and Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Manikganj
Palli Bidyut Samity.
 
District Information Officer Mohammad Nur Hossain delivered the welcome
address in the meeting.

All departmental heads of District offices and local journalists of print and
electronic media were present in the discussion.
