JAMALPUR, Dec 20, 2023 (BSS) - Blankets were distributed among distressed people living in Laxmirchar and Sharifpur unions in Jamalpur Sadar Upazila and four wards of Jamalpur municipality.

World Vision under its Area Programme disbursed 2,540 blankets among the poor people in the district town.

World Vision and Unnayan Sangha - the two non-government organisations jointly arranged the distribution programme at Hazrat Shahjalal High School playground.

Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mehnaj Ferdous handed over the blankets among the recipients.

Senior officials of World Vision were present at the event.
