RAJSHAHI, Dec 21, 2023 (BSS)-The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an overnight anti-crime drive arrested two alleged top-listed drug peddlers with 5.2 kilograms of heroin from a village in the district here early hours of today.

The arrested persons were identified as Kazim Udin alias Toyab, 44, son of Gias Uddin, and his son Ziban Ali, 19, of Char Hanumantanagar village under Godagari Upazila in the district, RAB sources said.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid at the house of Toyab around 4:30 am and arrested them after finding drugs by searching the house.

The arrested persons along with the seized contraband goods were handed over to the police this morning.

A case was recorded with Godagari Model Police Station.
